THE GIRLS

 Chlout's Zuni of Velikaya
(Timberpak's Durango x Chlout's Quick of Velikaya)

Zuni is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen.  She takes my breath away on and off the trail.  Excellent conformation, muscling and a face kissing outgoing temperament.

As my main leader, she knows her commands and is not timid about reinforcing them.

She was bred to Streak in 2010.  The pups staying at SecondWind are listed below.

Born:  September 15, 2006

l  Chlout's Lucy

Lucy lead an open team for Bob Chlupach in the Open North American.  Her mother, Sue, was one of his best.

Lucy is friendly and settled right into the dog yard.  Our first run was a fast white knuckler.  She loves to lope and pushes the team to the next level.  She is a great trail leader so this season we will be working on learning commands.

She is half Siberian Husky and half Alaskan from Ross and Sandy Saunderson.

 Chlout's Streak of Velikaya
(Chlout's Quinn of Velikaya x Timberpak's Tacoma)

This boy never has a bad day.  I wish I could bottle his energy and enthusiasm for everything in life.  He is the hard muscled, strong, driving dog we need for the hills here in New England.

Streak began running lead in 2010. He is the hardest working dog on the team consistently pulling the team into a lope and up the hills.  Just gotta love this dog !

 SecondWind's PBJ
((Chlout's Skykomish of Velikaya x Chlout's Jude of Velikaya)

His mother is one of Bob Chlupach's favorite leaders and his sire is one of my favorite leaders. Easily harness broken, he stretched out down the trail and didn't look back.  Jam takes everything I give him in stride.  This boys is loaded with potential and power.

He is named for my favorite lunch sandwich and becoming one of my favorite dogs.

 THE YEARLINGS

 SecondWind's Shift
((Chlout's Streak of Velikaya x Chlout's Zuni of Velikaya)

Shift was the first born and I loved her structure.  With her structure and type I may take her in the show ring.   The 2011 season will be her first year in harness..

  RETIRED

 Lara-Ke's Bristol Bay Ember
(Alaskan's Mageik of Anadyr x Blackwaters Cassiar of Lara-Ke)

Bristol is the lead dog everyone dreams about.  He came to me from Judy Currier and led her Jr Yukon Quest team.

His sire, Magiek, was a well known lead dog.  Bristol has his sires leader talents and loves attention.  He is the first to jump on his dog house and wait for hugs.

Bristol can be steered with your voice and his responses are incredibly quick and confident.  Due to his age he is retired from the team.  If I ever have another dog with his leader talents I will be the most fortunate musher on the trail !

  SECURITY TEAM

Tennessee & Nickelback

While driving home from a Florida vacation I stopped at a flea market and there she was.  A red Australian Cattle Dog puppy that I just had to have.  Tennessee is smart, fun, a challenge..so...I just had to have another one.  My next ACD was a blue male from Hollowlog kennel, Nickelback.  True to their breed,  they are alert.  A chipmunk doesn't move in the woods without them sounding the alarm.  Nothing moves in the house without them getting up from a sound sleep to take notice.  When I give them a command, they practically salute.
